The Babe Ruth division is for players between the ages of 13 and 16 years old. The games are played at Greenwood Community Center. The Greenwood Field is a regulation Major League field that has 90-foot base paths and a pitching mound that is 60 feet. The play is the most competitive that we support as a league, however, skill training is stressed and taught during pre-season practices and particularly for those 13 year olds and others that have not yet played on a 90 foot field.
Peachtree offers baseball for girls and boys who live within the district or who are eligible to attend the following schools. Brownsville, Crozet Elem, Henley, Meriwether Lewis, Murray, Nelson, Western and West side of Red Hill.
Players who will be league age 13-16 this spring can play Greenwood Babe Ruth. League Age is the age of your child as of April 30th.
To see your child's league age click here for the Babe Ruth Birth Chart for baseball. (pay attention to which year Babe Ruth currently has linked and make sure it corresponds to the season you are considering. It updates to the following Spring at some point each Fall).
