                                         Frequently Asked Softball Questions

Evaluations:   Softball will hold its evaluations on Sat, Feb 12th at Western Albemarle High School Main Gym-At the end of the school.  5941 Rockfish Gap Turnpike, Crozet, VA  22932


 I want my child on a certain team: Request for coaches and teammates will not be accommodated.

When will a coach contact me to let me know what team my child is on: The head coach will contact you by March 7th. If you have not received an email after that date, please email Cheryl Madison @ [email protected] and she can let you know what team your child is on and contact the coach to see why she/he has not called. Sometimes it is the wrong number etc..

When will practice start: Practice will start on Saturday,March 12th for all divisions. 

What time will practice start: The head coach determines practice time. The first few weeks practice will start at 5:30 due to darkness. After Spring Break, practice will start at 6:00. Coaches may keep it at 5:30 if they choose to. 

When will games start: Games for all divisions will start Saturday, March 26th.  Softball will play on Saturdays until Spring Break. Depending on the number of teams, softball may have a game during the week and one on Saturday after Spring Break or games only on Saturday. Games will  be at Peachtree and away locations  ex: Fluvanna, Madison and other leagues.

Softball Coaches are needed.No experience is necessary! For more information, click here

CONCESSION STAND: EACH PARENT IS REQUIRED TO WORK AT LEAST ONE TIME IN THE CONCESSION STAND.  Home team on the upper field is responsible for working the concession stand. Your head coach will make a schedule and send to parents. Major parents are required to stay until everyone has left the baseball field. If you son/daughter's game ends early please make plans ahead of time to stay until everyone has left the field. There is no one else to relieve you after their game.
